| 1906: Established Sugita Harikikai Shop and started supplying glass products for science and medical industries as a wholesaler by Tohtaro Sugita. |
| 1915: As the first company in the optical industry, started exporting scientific and glass products to the USA and Europe. |
| 1930: Renamed to Sugitoh Optical Glass Mfg., Co. |
| 1939: Started production at Kamata Factory for supplying reticules, level bubbles, and other optical parts. |
| 1944: Reorganized company and started selling special lenses, levels for aircraft, clinometers, and marine compasses, etc., for the military industry. |
| 1945: Kamata Factory was burned out due to WWII. After the war, the company restarted producing and selling consumer products such as glass-craft necklaces, brooches, etc. |
| 1950: Became the first in the industry to manufacture front surface mirrors for Twin Reflex Cameras. |
| 1966: Moved the main office to Uchikanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, and opened the Kanda Factory to produce levels, absorbing cells, etc. |
| 1968: Founder, Tohtaro Sugita, passed away. |

| 1987: Started supplying Optical Lens Kits. |
| 1988: Started selling Holder Kits and C-mount Benches. |
| 1991: Opened Osaka Branch Office. |
| 1992: Opened Fukushima Distribution Center. |
| 1993: Started production and supply of Zoom Lens Systems. Thai Factory started production on lapping, centering, and plane polishing sections. |
| 1995: Began production and supply of accessories for image processing. |
| 1996: Began production and supply of Large XY Stages. Polishing Section of Thai Factory started production. |
| 1997: Began production and supply of Large Micrometer 5X. SUGITOH OPTICAL (THAILAND) LTD. was established. |
| 1998: Developed Micrometer Scopes with built-in lamps (20x, 50x, 100x, and 200x) and began production and supply. |
| 1999: Developed Microscopes with LEDs and began production and supply. |
| 2004: Developed High Magnification 8x Macro Zoom Lenses and began production and supply. |
| 2006: Developed High Magnification APO MPLAN Microscope Lenses and began production and supply. |
| 2007: Opened Fujisawa Office (Purchasing Dept., QA Dept., and Inventory Control & Shipping Section). |
| 2015: Installed coating facilities in SUGITOH OPTICAL (THAILAND) LTD. |
| 2019: Tadakiyo Sugita assumed the position of chairman and representative director. Atsuko Ishii was appointed as the representative director. |
| 2021: The head office and Fujisawa Office were relocated and integrated in Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Released the Achromatic Lens Kit. |
| 2022: Released TS-7LE series white LED types and TS-93030 high-resolution macro zoom lenses. Introduced a multi-coat automatic machine in the Thailand factory. |
| 2024: Relocated the entire office to Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. |
